evaluation of the primary research

the opening question of the questionnaire was, "Do you find seductive and attractive females a good feature in music videos and does it appeal to you as a person?" majority of the people said yes which is a good sign as we intent to have alot of seduction  and attractive females in our video wich conforms with genre as many music videos of this genre have alot of seductive females

the second question was, "Would you say the colour and ethnicity of the artist/ dancers in a music video affects whether or not the music video would be aesthetically attractive to you?"  as anticipated the majority of people said no, so by using an afro caribbean aritist and dancers was not an issue as many dominant reggea/dancehall artist are afro caribbean.

"Reggae music is one that does not attract as much mainstream coverage as other genres, does Reggae music appeal to you as a genre?" not many music channels show reggea videos here in the uk so that was a bit of a worry eventhough thats changing. the responce from the public helped us to see that people do want this sort of music videos on tv.

"Do you think the success of an artist depends on their gender?", the wide responce was 'yes', the reason for this maybe because women are portrayed as sexual objects in the media wich attracts alot of attention. a few examples of this are artists such as beyonce, rhianna, niki minaj and ciara.

"How visually attractive would a black and white music video be in your eyes?",  i really liked the idea of making our music video black and white as i believed it to be a unique selling point as you dont usually see many videos that are black and white. my view was backed up by the results as only 30 people disagreed.
